Finance

The Finance Department has the responsibility to maintain strong financial health and growth for the City and oversees all accounting practices and financial functions of the City. Major financial responsibilities of the Finance Department include budgeting, accounts payable, account receivables, financial reporting and purchasing. Utility Billing, Property Tax and Occupational Tax administration and collection also fall within this department. The Finance Department is staffed with 11 full-time employees.


Objectives:

  • Continue to produce accurate financial reports.
  • Continue to have strong collection rates in Utility Billing, Property Tax, and Occupational Tax.
  • Continue to maintain sound and balanced financial stability for the City.
  • Continue to have a clean independent external audit.
  • Continue to strive for no material findings in the annual external audit.
  • Remain in compliance with all State and Federal reporting to continue receiving State and Federal grant funding.
