Rules for AIR QUALITY CONTROL
April 30 – October 1- Burn Ban
October 2- April 29- Burning is allowed, follow the below rules
Local Permissible Open Burning Requirements for the Residences in the City of Loganville
Provided, however, that such burning, be conducted between 10:00 a.m. and one hour before sunset, and does not cause air pollution in quantities or characteristics or of a duration which is injurious or which unreasonable interferes with the enjoyment of life or use of property in such area of the city as is affected thereby.
1. Reduction of leaves that have fallen from the trees or your property (not over 2 inches in diameter)
2. Fire location shall be 50 feet from any structure or property lines.
3. An adult (21 years or older) must be present the entire time the fire is burning.
4. A functional water hose must be present to control and extinguish the fire.
5. The fire must be completely out one hour before sunset.
6. No burning on windy days (10mph or higher) or on days when the atmospheric conditions (cloudy, overcast, raining) would cause the smoke to remain low to the ground.
7. Fires may not be started with petroleum-based products.
8. Refuse or other combustibles may not be burned at any time, only the natural products from your property.
9. Leaves may not be hauled to your property from other locations and burned.
10. Call Fire Marshal office for Burn Permit.
