Water Distribution

The Water Distribution division is responsible for bringing quality water to its citizens. Maintenance to the system includes, weekly water samples taken and tested in the Water Quality Control laboratory, monthly samples taken and tested in the EPD laboratories, and preventative and corrective maintenance to 89 miles of water distribution lines, 1,360 water valves, 1,104 fire hydrants, 3 wholesale water providers and 2 water storage tanks.

The City of Loganville uses approximately 1.4 million gallons of water per day.

Backflow Prevention


Backflow Prevention provides protection of the drinking water system from contaminants and pollutants that can come from cross connections and changes in the hydraulic conditions within the water system.
