Loganville Annual Water Report Released

City again meets state, federal guidelines

(Loganville, GA - June 30, 2025) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires community water systems to deliver a Consumer Confidence Report, also known as an annual drinking water quality report, to their customers. These reports provide Americans information about their local drinking water quality.

“The City of Loganville is pleased to report that our community’s drinking water met state and federal water quality standards during the year of 2024,” Loganville Public Utilities Director Brandon Phillips said. “We are committed to provide quality water to our customers and provide an annual report to inform and educate consumers.”

The City of Loganville purchases water from the City of Monroe, Gwinnett County, and Walton County. The primary water sources that the City of Loganville purchases water from is Monroe and Walton County. Monroe’s raw water sources include the John T. Briscoe Reservoir, Alcovy River, and for emergency use Jack’s Creek. The sources of water for Walton County comes from the Lake Varner Reservoir as well as water purchased from Oconee County (Bear Creek Reservoir and well systems), Monroe (Alcovy River/John T. Briscoe Reservoir) and Gwinnett County (Lake Lanier). The City of Loganville also purchases water from Gwinnett County for emergency use and it is sourced from Lake Lanier.

In order to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, EPA prescribes regulations which limit the amount of certain contaminates in water provided by public water systems. Lead can cause serious health effects in people of all ages, especially pregnant people, infants (both formula-fed and breastfed), and young children. Lead in drinking water is primarily from materials and parts used in service lines and in home plumbing. The City of Loganville is responsible for providing high quality drinking water and removing lead pipes but cannot control the variety of materials used in the plumbing in your home. To access all individual Lead Tap Sample results for the City of Loganville, please contact Joe Stancil at Jstancil@loganville-ga.gov. The Service Line Inventory (SLI) is a requirement under the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) to help water systems identify and replace lead service lines.
